Basic things anyone can do to save the environment!
So, every year I think it’s more noticeable the fact that the environment isn’t what it used to be. But even though is a very popular topic right now and I’m pretty sure most of the people want to help, it’s hard to know how to help. So if you want to know how to contribute, keep reading to know some very easy things anyone can do on their daily basis to help the world.
Recycle:
This is probably the most used word when it comes to helping the environment. And yet, a lot of people don’t know how to; or if they do have an idea, they think it’s too much work and decide against doing it. Recycling paper, aluminum, and plastic is one of the easiest things to do because you don’t actually have to do anything! All you have to do is gather the materials you use daily and if you can find an organization that picks these items off from your house, call them for them to pick it up, that’s it. If not though, the work is not that hard either, usually, the big supermarkets are recollecting these materials, so in one of your trips there you drop it off, easy!
Reuse:
Re-use, use again! There are many things you can use again, and Google and Pinterest can help lots with that! From containers to clothes, you’ll be surprised how much stuff can be used again or in a different way. But some simple things could be paper, just use it on the other side!
Reduce:
Change from disposable to un disposable?
Try not to use any disposable, at all. You’ll start to notice how much we throw away and imagine that multiplied by every person in the world! I’m pretty sure that almost everything that is disposable can be avoided, and by avoided I mean that you can use other things that aren’t one use only, everything except toilet paper and probably napkins and that sort of things or at least those are the only things coming to my mind at the moment.
Examples:
Instead of disposable water bottle, use a reusable one. Some cools stores to check out for really cute water bottles are: www.swellbottle.com/bottles, mybkr.com, target.com etc.
Instead of using a paper bag to bring your lunch, use a lunch bag! you don’t have to use a children’s one btw, there are some very cute ones
Use a tote bag to avoid plastic ones in the supermarket: there are many stores where they are charging the plastic bags to motivate people to use the tote bags.
Straws: so there are some news running around that straws are actually very bad for the sea animals, many of these animals are usually small and this suffocates them. To help the sea turtles use some reusable straws to prevent this from happening.
The list goes on! You only need to pay a little attention to what you throw away to notice on how to change and make an impact.
Hopefully, these ideas helped you in some way or at least inspired you to be more aware of the environment we have today and realize that it won't last forever if we don’t take care of it! Please share this blog if you think someone else will find it helpful and also to raise awareness to help the world!
