How to raise money
Have you ever been in a situation where you have to pay something but don’t have the money for it? Trips, clothes, charity, supplies, emergencies...there’s always a reason for wanting some cash in a short period of time.
In this blog I will show you some basic activities and jobs you can do to earn some money in just a few months notice, keep reading to get to know them all!
This last summer 2018, I wanted to make a long trip with a friend, the problem was that we were still going to school and didn’t want to leave aside our afterschool activities to make money, so we did many things and achieved our goal! Let me share this ideas with you.
The first and constant thing we did was selling. Chips, candy, brownies, cookies, pies, bracelets… look for the best deals and buy in bulk to actually get something from it. Try getting special permissions for selling in public places, such as schools, sport clubs and parks.
Doing a raffle. This isn’t as hard as it sounds! You can make some raffle tickets for a $100 prize and sell your tickets at $5, everyone wants a hundred dollars!
A third but more elaborate option is to organize events for young kids, such as camps, movie nights, girl’s day out, pool parties, etc. Some children are just boring around on the weekends and lack a big sibling to take them out, it’ll be fun.
Try getting some donations. I know it is hard to ask for favours, but if you have a good cause, some people will definitely help out. There are really nice people out there who have been granted with money and are willing to help others accomplish their dreams.
Another thing that can be useful is tutoring. If you have young siblings, neighbors or friends, design a flyer and pass it around offering your help for exams and homework, some kids might actually need it.
Babysitting is very similar to tutoring and can be even more efficient. Many parents go out each weekend and like leaving their children in good hands. It is actually a very well-paid job and doesn’t always have to be at night, there’s moms wanting a little of help to get their kids around (to after school activities, parties, doctors appointments). Just remember it requires commitment job.
For most of the things I have mentioned you’ll have to be confident and shyless, but everything will be worth it. These are just some activities you can do, but there’s many more. Just don’t give up and keep your inflows and outflows under control, set dates for your goals and track down every money movement.
See you in the next blog!
